Thinking about picking up a new pocket rocket that takes a 14-250 Li-ion. Does a protected version of this even exist?
Thanks

AW sells unprotected 14250s here

- 14250 ( 300 mAH ) 1/2AA------- $4.50 each
In theory they could take the same protection circuit used on a 14500, but they are not available ready fitted AFAIK.

It's only the 10xxx cells that can't be fitted with protection, as the diameter is too small (10440, 10280, 10180 etc).

While its plausible to use PCB protection disks from 14500s, it won't help with regulating current draw. I think its worth a try for over charge/dischare protection though
