I had this one done 2 weeks ago as a request from a fellow CPF-
member whose name I will not post here, however,
he is free to post here and provide his feedback on the builds.

Anywa, lets start.
These are "sandwiched" FluPICc v2.1 with a 0.77" OD.
The heatsink are of the same diameter from copper and
these are bonded together using AA Thermal Epoxy.
Wire used is genuine greenLED Teflon Wire.

There original optics were replaced with McR-18 reflectors
which were sanded down exactly 1mm to bring it from 12mm
down to 11mm. The Solder-contacts on the Cree-emitters were
insulated to prevent it shorting on the metal reflector.
So far, I found this setup to give a better beam with better throw,
compared to stock Cree optics....

BTW, that First Run is mine :naughty:

The output in brightness is tremendous !
Stock Arc LS only produced about 40lumens at max !
Even with upgraded Luxes at 667mA, you might get 80-ish lumens.

With these Crees, expect to get at least that at HALF the current.
(so 80~90 lumens at 350mA) and double that at 667mA (150~170 lumen)

Questions and comments most welcome !

Last month I had a smilar mod done for myself also with a Piglet here.

Hi,

I have an ARC LSH-P with an clicky, but have been looking for the twisty switch though... Would it be possible to mod it with the latest cree, and if so what would the cost be with shipping to Europe? Which cree and reflector would be used and would the lumen and runtime be as mention earlier or maybe better?

Thanks,

PA
