16,000 mcd ultra white LEDs???

I was brousing and came upon this. Is it really possible to get 15,000mcd with a If of only 20mA???

I'm no expert but I have seen 12,000 mcd whites that use 3.6 volts / 25mA. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif If they are for real I want some.

The viewing angle is specified as 15 degrees. If this is total than it's +/- 7.5 degrees. Most LEDs are 20-30 degrees.

For such a narrow angle, 12,000-15,000 mcd isn't extraordinary. These LEDs are probably no more
efficient than any other white LEDs.

that sounds right, the MCD cand be easily misused (useually intentionally. Thanks PHP.
