Hi,

I just got a new AW 18500 battery that showed 3.9v and 100% on my Z-tester. However, after using it for like 10mins (with another new 18500 in series in a MD3) the output suddenly dropped to 3.6v and it won't even turn any of my chargers red, i.e. charge.

If the protection tripped it should be 0... Otherwise it should charge. So I am out of ideas.

Any ideas?

Dennis.

Not sure, but only run two Li-ions in series when their resting voltage is equal, or + or - one or two hundredths. When you receive a new Li-Ion charge it up to full capacity, about 4.2 volts or so, before using it.

Both were at 3.9v and 100% ZTested when I ran them... I usually do charge first but I was being impatient.

Thanks,

Dennis.
