18650 batteries for Fenix TK22

I recently acquired a Fenix TK22. I would like to use a 18650 battery in my new Fenix but I am not sure what brand would be best. The Fenix users manual recommends the Fenix ARB-L2 18650 battery. I says to use a (Li-ion) 18650 battery with caution. I says (LiFePO4) 18650 batteries should not be used. Any recommendations out there? Also a good charger.

The Fenix ARB-L2 is OK. It's only 2600 mha so you won't get the highest runtime our of it but to some extent probably keeps the light brighter than 3100 to 3400 batteries.
If you want max runtime then get 3400 mha: EagleTac make them and they are relatively cheap. There are other good batteries too.

I dont know the dimensions of the TK22 but in my TK11 i have to use flattop because others wont fit i use the Fenix battery and its good.I tried a keeppower 3100 but its too long.

For charger for example Nitecore I2 or I4 they also charge nimh and nicd batteries.they are also affordable IMO.

On another note i wonder why they dont want you to use LiFePO4 :thinking:

Would a Orbtronic 18650 3100mAh be an appropriate battery for this light?
