18650's Question

I have never used these before and I am using AW 18650 in my Thrunite TN11, will they just shut down when the voltage drops or start to dim?
Thanks, I am just learning.

It really depends on the flashlights circuit. I can not comment on the TN11 as I dont own one. Some will get dimmer and dimmer and then the battery low voltage pcb will kick in. No more battery no more light. Some will work almost the same brightness all the way through until the pcb kicks in. I 'am assuming you are using protected cells. If not then you will have to learn when or how to tell when the battery is depleted. Usually around 3.5v measured with a voltmeter when rested for 5 to 10 min. When you drain the battery down make sure you charge it up as soon as possible.

Thank you, Yes I am using AW protected cells, the runtime is much longer than I had expected, almost 6 nights and early mornings so far and still very bright.

I thought the 18650 batteries PCB circuit cuts out at 2.5v?

When the battery is under load the voltage will sag. When the pcb cuts off, read the voltage on the battery. You should find the voltage much higher than the pcb cut off voltage. You may have to put the battery on a charge for a few seconds to reset the pcb. I think most pcb's cut off at 2.75v.
