Back when Zebralight was first making headlamps, I bought 2 of the 1AA twisty and they have been working great over the years. Now I'm back in the market again but it looks like the majority of the market is using electronic switches for headlamps.

The only one that comes close is the Fenix HL22 which I may pick up to try out.

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a 1 x AA headlamp that uses a mechanical switch?

Thanks.

I don't have one but I think the HL22 is an electronic switch. Someone else may be able to confirm though. Clicking the switch, it definitely feels like it is a momentary switch unlike mechanical ones which where you can actually feel the on/off positions.

I also prefer mechanical clickies and use floody 1AA flashlights in aftermarket headbands - Malkoffs headband is my current favorite.
