My two favorite everyday use flashlights are still my Surefire E1e, and my A2 Aviator.

Both have Lumen Factory replacement bulbs.

The E1e is the light I carry in my pocket 100% of the time.
It is so small and light, yet it is plenty bright.

It is suprising how many times I use it even durring the day.

However the A2 Aviator is my favorite light if I could have only one.

I have 2, one with yellow green Led's, I only use it when on a trip and might need to read a map, in the dark in a vehicle.

My everyday use A2 has the white LED's.
I really like the fact that LED's povide enough light to walk around, look into a closet, etc with out blinding you or messing up your night vision.

Even if the batteries are do not have enough "juice" to light up the incandescent bulb they will still fire up the LED's.

Yet by just pressing the tail cap a little harder you have a pretty good Incandescent light.

Also if desired, you can adjust the tail cap so you cannot accidently turn on the bright white light.

Even though I use this light every night, because a lot of use is with the LED's the batteries last a long time.

When I travel I always carry a Sure Fire Spares, or two, so I have extra bulbs.

Both of these lights are my EDC when ever I leave my place.

Both have been to Alaska, and Africa several times.

They have never left me in the dark.

My 2 most used Incandescents are the A2 aviator, and the M4 Devastator (with LOLA)

i love the simplicity of the A2, press for light, press harder to reach out with a gorgeous incandescent beam.
and the M4 - Its a great light, really reaches out, perfect for some of the stuff i need a light for, at the moment it has a LED head on it, but i plan on ordering some Lumensfactory bulbs and AW cells in a week or two, and using it as an incan again

Main light:
FM E-series 18650 body + E2E head + IMR-E2 bulb running on 2xIMR16340s

Backup:

E2E + FM Strion Socket Kit running on a 17670

The backup hardly ever gets touched though, I don't typically need much runtime currently.

Hack On Wheels,

Have you ever compared the FM Strion kit with the EO-E1R? Was there a noticeable bump in lumens?

Thanks

I use my m*g85s or my FM09s every day and keep both with me all the time.

My E2E w/F04 is in my side pants pocket while I have an L1 in an V82 holster on my belt. The light that gets the most runtime is my G3 with LF SR-9 bulb and 2xAW17500's as I walk the dog with it about 3 or 4 times a week.

Hey BigHonu,

Unfortunately I haven't yet seen an EO-E1R in action yet, though I'll try to remember to post a comparison if I get the chance to try one.

I chose to go with the Strion kit instead of the EO-E1R as it seemed to make more sense to be replacing the bulb instead of the whole lamp assembly. I didn't look too much into the small specification differences, I focused on them having 80+ lumens, close enough to an hour of runtime (on a 17670) and decided to give FMs setup a shot.

For EDC: Surefire M2 w/ LF EO-6 running primaries, and Surefire M3 w/ LF HO-M3 running primaries.
In reserve[back up] is a Surefire 6P with a Cabela's XPG 6V D36 TH on primaries, and a Cabela's XPG 9V D36 TH on primaries.

@ home, LF SP-9 D36 w/ HO-9L on AW 18500's.

My surefire E1B in my right pocket along with my SOG Power Assist and my surefire E2D in my left along with my cell phone....yeah the cell phone looked like a truck hit it after only a month in the pocket with the E2D LOL....

Its to hard to pick a favorite , but most used would probably be my Surefire E2d which is my EDC and the second would probably be a toss up between the Mag85 and my 2 C ROP, which I use when walking outside a lot.

That's true, the E2 form factor is really great for EDC carry and use, but my 2C ROP Lo is also one of my favourites. If its night and I'm going out I'll take that along if it's feasible to carry a light of that size. It fits great in my hand and has a nice output and runtime.

Walking around in the woods or with the dog: Most favorite and most used are the same = Thrunite Catapult.

EDC: Most used = JetBeam RRT-0 (I think.... I use my Quark AA a lot as well).
Most favorite = Peak El Capitan (brass is a tad heavy in the pocket, but very cool ;)).

And of course belatedly I realize this is the Incan forum -- sorry!
