Interesting concept. Too bad they don't state the battery's capacity. Probably very limited.
 
Correct me if I'm wrong, but these guys look like Zinc-Air batteries... Probably why you twist the top off and shake it to "activate" it...
 
They could also be a type of reserve battery. These typically have the electrolyte in a glass or copper ampule inside the battery, seperate from the cell stack. When the ampule is broken, the electrolyte is distributed about the cells and the battery starts producing power. These can last for tens of years in storage. They are typically used in munitions that require extended shelf life.
