I bought a pack of Energizer 2100 mAh AA rechargeable batteries. Should I see any improvement over 1800 mAh batteries in a regulated light?

Funny thing is.....I had my choice at Savon Drugs-either the 1850 mAh AA Evereadys..OR..the 2100 mAh AA Evereadys. (both priced at $12.99)

I was assuming that the higher the number, the better the battery. If the difference is more runtime, that's fine. I didn't notice any difference in the output of my minimag with a BB400, and it didn't improve the output of my minimag with an Inretech adapter either. I have not tried the batteries in a UK4AA. I'm a newbie, I was interested in knowing what improvement I should be looking for, if any.

Just runtime. Also, the 2100s are a hair bigger than the 1850s, so a few lights may be a tight or impossible fit (e.g. old Princeton Tecs)

Think of mAh as gas in the tank, not horsepower. That should explain what the battery will do.

I am not that familiar with their 2100 AA, but these Nexcell closeouts of ours (2100mah) are not any bigger in physical size than any other AA battery and fit everything.

I think Energizer is switching the 1850's to 2100's. I got some 2100's a few months back when I first saw them. I keep seeing more and more of them and less 1850. I really can't tell a difference in size in any of the light's I've used, and the only difference in performance is a little longer runtime.

I was at Target a bit ago and they still had a pack of 1250's (yellow energizer ones made in 1998) for sale at the same price as the new ones.
