26650 question from beginner

Looking for pros and cons of 26650 batteries. Any specific safety precautions I should be aware of, and how do they compare vs 18650's in terms of lasting/shelf life, run times, or in any other areas of importance. Thanks in advance for any input from the experts here.

I preffer 18650 for the size, no big difference in mAh

Thanks Changchung. One more question: Would it be correct to assume that lights that use the 26650's are capable of producing more output in general than those that use the same number of 18650's?

Nop, because both batteries had the same volts.

The only pros of use 26650 if they are IMR those cells had more current draw that some 18650
