Keep in mind alkaline cells in the P10A2 is gonna suck a big one. He will have to use lithium primaries or NiMH cells.
I would rate the EagleTac and Fenix equal in build quality - that is to say both are good. Considering their cost may bump that up to very good. I liked the beam of the EagleTac better, though the Fenix had a warmer tint [P10A2 v TK20] Neither had meaningful rings or artifacts IMHO.But someone please give their impressions of build quality between EagleTac and Fenix. ... Also which of these two models have less rings and/or artifacts in their beams?
Regard headlight, I don't use one when work on my car. First the headband would get dirty so fast and pain to clean. Second most of the time I need illumination from an angle differrent from my head, or I'd just get blinded by reflection from the part that closest to my face.
