3 123a's or 2 18650's??

I just got a new Olight m30, it uses 3 cr 123a's or 2 18650's. Is one combination better than the other?
I am new here so if this has been answered before, forgive me.

Welcome to CPF!:D The 18650's have alot longer runtime.

Check out this review

I would recommend the 2x 18500 config.

However if you already have other 18650 lights (and therefore batteries), then I would go with that config. for the extended runtime.

I didn't realize 18500 would work in place of 18650. I am REAL new to this.

According to selfbuilt's runtime chart, two 18650's run just a bit longer than 3x123's to 50%.

Concurring with the posts above.
Personally i also just dislike changing 'alot' of batts.
As in the less batts the better, doesn't matter the size.
