Newly Enlightened
I'm very impressed with these Eneloops. My brother came home yesterday with a new(old stock) pack of AAA eneloops and had me recharge it. When I looked at the manufacturing date, I was surprised that it was manufactured June 2006 meaning its been sitting in a shelf for 3.5 years! I was curious if it still had some juice left after sitting for that long and pop'ed one in my Fenix LOD-CE, to my surprise I still managed to get 35mins on high before it dropped to a lower output. I usually get 55-60mins on high out of my other fully charged AAA Eneloops on my LOD-CE, thus I assume that after 3.5 years it still had ~60% charge left. I've read somewhere that Eneloops leave the plant with a 75% charge, that means the battery only lost 15% for that 3.5 years. I've been an LSD convert since they first showed up and now I just love them even more. Sadly, I don't have a charger with an analyzer function to get the exact mAh left but the mere fact that they still have power in them after that long completely blows me away! :grin2:
