3 degree TIR optic from Khatod

They call it 3deg, but the specs say 3.5deg for a 1 sq mm source. What's it going to be when you put an XM-L behind it? Or even an XP-G?

This is a good narrow beam. The optics are fairly large, but I suppose that's to be expected when producing a very narrow beam.

Who sells Khatod optics??

Not sure it will live up to expectations for the XML...the actual focusing portion of the lens looks to be relatively small. 8000cd at 270 lumens. Lets assume that 4x the lumens is 4 times the lux. 32000 lux. For a 50 mm head, other flashlights have it beat in throw...

im sure that the smaller die LEDs will fare better.

The optic is 35mm diameter. In the spec sheets it looks like around 8° for the XM-L2.

I would still like to play with a few. Cutter's email said they should have them soon.

The spec sheet utilizes model PL1675UN. I believe that is the 50mm model...do the different diameters function the same way?

The 50mm model looks the same as the 35mm but has a flange around the outside to make it 50mm. Still 35mm emitting surface.
