Does any one know anything about this light? It's got an awful big reflector, and it looks like the light can seperate from it's battery compartment. 3MCP Spotlight. It Maybe good for a mod!
I have this light. I really like it. It's big and heavy, and yes you can seperate it from it's battery. I upgraded my bulb to the one that comes in the Vector 3milcp light. It was a decent upgrade. If you want a big, heavy, bright, light with a lot of wow factor this is a good choice. The other option to go with would be the 10milcp Thor.
I have the 10 MCP Thor, and the 3.5 Thor. I thought this probably had the same bulb as the 3.5 (actually the 3.5 Thor is almost as bright as the 10 MCP Thor with a 12V 9Ah battery instead of the 2 6V batteries). How many amps is the power station that comes with it. I was thinking it might be worth the $38 bucks just for the batteries, bulb, and reflector!
(I wonder if you could fit the light part onto a Mag style handle /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif ) Is the Vector 3mil bulb a vertical filament or horizontal?
You asked how many amps the battery is. This is what it says on the battery: Cycle use is 14.4-15.0V, Standby use is 13.5-13.8V, Initial current is less than 2.1A and 12V7AH/20HR.
And the Vector 3mil bulb is a vertical filament, and has a slight blue tint to the bulb itself.

Thanks Sway. I did notice they were kinda high priced, and after I saw the Thor for $79, I knew they were rebranding the lights. I would guess the reflector is aluminum. I may get one of these to play around with (and for the WoW factor!)
