Flashlight Enthusiast
Well, I recently got 3 beautifully modded lights from Milkyspit, and I thought I would share them here with you. Enjoy
First is the U2by2. The U2 was my favorite go to light to begin with. Now Scott has given me my favorite light back....on steroids
. He put 4 Rebels in it, with McR 10-R reflectors. This thing puts out 500 lumens...and boy is it bright . It literally illuminates my whole back yard with clarity. I had it at the soccer fields on Saturday night, and standing in the middle of the field....it lights up the whole half of the soccer field that I point it at. If I had two of these things...they could play a night game. It runs on 1 x AW 18650 or 2 x primaries. It still has 6 levels as changed by the selector ring. The lowest level is still great for walking around the house at night. The highest level bounced off the ceiling in any room in the house makes it look like the room lights are all turned on. This thing is just amazing.
The next light is an E1B that I sent to him. I put the E1B head on a black E1E body, with an E2D tail cap. It has been named the Transformer. He left the stock emitter in it, but replaced the driver with an Acorn driver. Normally the Acorn has four levels which are accessed by double tapping. I had him customize mine to two levels. I am a 2 level flashlight guy, and I kept the normal low, and the normal max. It uses 1 x AW protected rcr123a, or 2 x primaries...so I can put this on an E2D body also. It's max output is over 200 lumen out the front. This light has replaced my Milky ML1x as one of my edc's. It throws a nice focused beam way out there. Yes...200+ lumen through a SF optic is very impressive my friends. I can see my neighbors yard across the road with clarity. It just simply amazes me at the amount of light that Milky can make come out of a little 1 cell light.
Last, but certainly not least is my TW4D Boxter custom. I swore that I would never sell my Novatac 120P, but the day I got this....I had the 120P up for sale at MarketPlace. This is now my second EDC, and accompanies my Transformer whenever I leave the house. This little beauty is just another fine example of what can be created in the Milky Labs. It is a black KL4 head that Milky put the new Luxeon K2-TFFC emitter in. And, as Dog Chaser mentioned in another thread....it has the most beautiful creamy tint that I have ever seen. This also has the Acorn driver with the same two levels as my E1B Transformer, except this one is a pocket wall of light. It also runs on the same battery configuration as the Transformer.
These are three lights that will serve me for a long time to come. Between these three lights...I pretty much have all my bases covered. This certainly doesn't mean that this is the end of my collection though. There are several more mods that I will be enlisting the services of Master Milky for. As skalomax so eloquently puts it....I LOVE MY MILKY MODS
