4 AA lights /series or parallel

Any way to be able to tell if a 4AA light runs the batts in series or not. Got burned on a 4AA Energizer swivel head like that.

Easiest way would be to spend the few dollars for a cheap multimeter from Radio Shack and measure the voltage at the socket.

3 voltish and they are 2 pairs in parallel, 6ish volts and they are all in series

That may be the best way if you can't get in to actually look at how it's wired.

What I do is check out the replacement bulb. Most all packages tell you what the replacement lamp is. TX

Here is a quick, easy reversable mod to power the swivel head in series.
