Check out my thread about that, in the Cafe. :)

Yup. Good one!

I plan to hit Walmart tomorrow morning to stock up on ammunition, alcohol, and Pop Tarts. Can't face the end of the world without Pop Tarts! Yum!

Ironically, I had a Pop-Tart today for the first time in years. Hot or cold, they are excellent food to have on hand during a Blackout or other emergency. I have a few that I'll be tossing into my main BOB as part of a couple of homemade MREs.

After the Katrina event I gave quite a bit of thought about what foods I like at room temperature. I like most foods either really hot or really cold. There are some things though that are a treat for me even when the power is off. Canned boiled peanuts are good. I also like sardines on crackers. Emergency comfort food.
