I'm looking at upgrading my 6D Cell Maglite to LED.
Is there anyone out there that has done this or that is able to advise?
I'm looking at the TerraLUX TLE 300M drop-in as an option.
 
I ordered tle-300 mr(it's almost exactly the same as m) for my magcharger about a year ago and i'm very happy with it. With some tweaks(more transparent lens, thicker o-ring behind it and some thermal-grease at the bottom of drop-in) you can get even more light and better heat conductivity. Some people reported bad thermal management of this dro-in but i havent noticed it on mine, even before those little improvements i made...

Your light will throw same as before, but with a giant(literally) hotspot and some serious flood.

Now all I need to do is get my hands on a TerraLUX - there are no stockists in South Africa, will check what is the best place to import from.
