8 cell AA nimh charger?

what is a good charger that will do 8 NiMH cells in one crack? I saw a cheap one with 12 batts on ebay, I don't know if it's any good though.

I would like a 8 cell charger for convenience.
From what I read up on the Powerex2000 is a good battery but it's hella expensive. The Duracharge 1800 seems like a good buy at the price any thoughts?

You can always grab the readily available Rayovac PS3 that will do 8 AA/AAA NiMHs at the same time...

Regarding cheap-but-good cells, the Sanyo industrial 1700 has been very, very good to me.
Regarding the charger, what other features are you looking for besides the 8 slots?

a quick charger would be good, with automatic trickle mode in case I forget to take them out right away. how important a feature is battery conditioning, can't this be accomplished by simply running the batteries down?

conditioning usually means a discharge to a certain voltage followed by a recharge.

FWIW: PS-3 does not trickle charge and some including myself have experienced over-charging of nimh's (keeps going & going & going ...)
