Hello all,

I recently purchased a user from the Marketplace. Last night on the lower settings the output started to throb up and down. The high setting was unfazed. I changed the battery and it did that briefly and appears to be operating normally.

Is this normal when the battery becomes depleted?

Thanks in advance

I used to have one. The output will flash if it can't be supported by the battery level. So, high mode will be affected first. Rotating to a lower level that the battery can support will cause the output to stop flashing and be steady.

So, I would say, no ... a flashing low mode and a steady high mode is not normal.

If changing the battery made everything OK, then I would just see what happens as the new battery becomes depleted. Perhaps it was a one-time event.

The above comments apply to the use of a CR123 battery. If you used a rechargeable, T1A operation may be different.

Kelly,

a swab with a bit of alcohol on your contact points and clean plus regrease threads is always a good idea. That light never once hiccuped on me.

contact me if you are experiencing issues still

Caveat emptor beach honda!

No big deal. You sold it to me in good faith. This comes with the territory when you buy used lights or anything used for that matter. My 1st Aeon brand new out of the tube turned itself on and almost set my backpack on fire. I sent Surefire CS a message. I will try cleaning and regreasing.

Another reason to always carry a backup!!!

I just got my Titan back from SF. It feels like they rebuilt the switch. The head rotation is nice and tight and the dentent is really pronounced. While I was waiting on the return I got a real steal on a brand new one. The newer one has a much better tint BTW. The new one is destined for my bug out bag 1st aid kit!
