I know the later "round" version of the Incan A2 had green/yellow LEDs as a model. Did the earlier four flats version also have this color LED option or was it just White, Blue, Red, and Green?

Also on the L1 did the later round body (what CPF refers to as Gen 5) version have color LED options or just Gen 4 and earlier? I found a Gen 5 with a green LED head and either there were Gen 5s with color options or maybe it's from an earlier 4 flat LED version?

Thanks for any insight!

Re: A2 4 Flats question and L1 question

Hi LE6920,

I can't help with your (incan) A2 question, but I can recommend my (LED) L1 thread which has a fair bit of background info on the L1's. Furthermore, that thread of mine includes links to a few other older L1 threads, if existing posts in those threads don't help you might want to post your query in one of them.

Edit: I've also taken the liberty of renaming your thread title slightly to focus on the incan A2 for this subforum.

Best regards,

Re: A2 4 Flats question and L1 question

The first A2 model produced was the 4-flats version, and it was available in yellow-green as well as white, red, blue and green. In fact the first color option produced was y/g, designed for aviators (hence the name). The incan beam was considered perfect for pre-flight inspections when the pilot walks around the outside of his aircraft, and the y/g LEDs are good for use at night in the cockpit.

Thanks for the info, makes sense to me. I have seen the later round version with the grn/yellow led option but have yet to see a 4 flat version with this combo. Must be a rare one or one no one wants to get rid of!
