A2 Blue LEDs

I saw some beamshots on the web somewhere of an A2 with blue LEDs compared to an A2 with white LEDs. The blue looked a lot brighter! I would normally think the white would be preferable for night hiking, etc., but if the blue are really brighter, I'd be tempted.

Would really appreciate insight from any A2 owners or others familiar with them.

I am not shure if these beamshots are to take granted.
There is even the read LED A2 "brighter". I can't believe
that ... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

My white Led A2 is suitable for closeup use. The color is very nice for reading.
