Hi there. I had a question for everyone. I got a charger with my Fujifilm digital cam and it came with the Fujifilm rechargeable AA NiMH batteries. My question is whether I can use this same charger to charge other NiMH batteries. It seems to state that you can only use the charger with these particular batteries, but I can't think of any real reason why I can't use it on other rechargeables. Any thoughts? Thanks.

15 minute chargers take special batteries for the high charge rate. If it is a one hour charger it should work fine, they usually have thermal monitoring/regulation of some type. And the 10-20hr. chargers work equally mediocrely with any NiMH.
I think the 15 minute chargers will default to 1 hour charging if you put other than the 15 min. batteries in it. But I'm not familiar with that Fuji charger.

Yeah, it takes at least 2-3 hours to charge the batteries so it isn't a quick charger by any means, and it does have a smart circuit in it so that it doesn't overcharge the batteries. I just don't want to go put some batteries in it and have them blow on me. As long as that doesn't happen, I guess I'll just stick with it. Just hope that doesn't happen.
