Beside the Quark, you may also look for a Fenix TK20. They are a solid flashlight, and it can tailstand, mine does quite easily. There are many threads on the TK20 that you can search for and read through.

The Lidl supermarket AA cell light,easy to turn on,stands well and very bright and my bargain buy of the year for a £tenner,use it all the time and wish now I had bought loads and offered them to members for cost price plus the postage just so they could also enjoy this light if not available in there country.

Quick pic standing on the lens,note the the glow sticker on the stand up end,i added that quickly to find the light in the dark,will do a neater job of it soon.

You also get a 3 year warranty.

I'm running 2xAA (eneloops) in a Surefire C3 host with a Malkoff M31W and the MD3 tailcap. It produces a beautiful beam at full output for around an hour, has a great feeling forward clicky, and tailstands easily.
