AA lights

Just purchased a Fenix LD42 and a Nitecore EA45S to go with my AA light collection. Now I have those 2 plus the Eagtac SX30A4(ridiculous light for AA powered), Fenix TK41, Fenix E20, Fenix LD12, and the Lumintop tool AA 2.0. Any other AA suggestions would be welcome, I love throwy type lights.

I don’t know what your budget is but the Frelux Synergy 2 is good. About $250 though. Also, check out Zebralight. I’ve had good luck with them but I’ve also seen some folks on the forum who don’t like them. Finally, Reylight has an interesting AA light.

Zebralight makes some of the brightest and most efficient 1xAA lights. If you prefer throwy, try the Zebralight SC5 or SC5w. While it's not a huge thrower, it's more throwy than most of their lights, and at 500 lumen output, it's pretty good outdoors. Very small and pocketable, too.

I also have the Manker T01, which is quite a throwy 1xAA light. Around 400 lumens, though it's not regulated like the Zebralights, so it only gets that on a full battery. Very good throw for a small 1xAA light.

If you're willing to step-up to a 4xAA light, then just about any one of those will out-throw smaller lights. Look for one with a Cree XP-L HI emitter.

The ZL SC52 has been a mainstay in my pocket since its release a number of years ago. I run 14500's in it with Eneloops for backup. Great travel light as it's easy to find AA Alkalines. The other day, got a screaming deal at Costco AA Energizer Lithiums... ten bucks for twenty, bought two twenty packs. The SC52 is an incredible light for its size, light emission, reliability and durability.

You betcha! I've used the Lithiums on the high peaks in the cold winter temps and their shelf life is many years. Never saw that price anywhere before, even at Costco. They're a steal at this price. Great batteries!
