I'm in the market for a thrower.
I'm trying to standardize as much as possible on AA batteries. I know this limits my options. I'm not a huge fan of multiple CR123s. I'd be okay if I had to pick up C or D cells. I'd also prefer to stay away from specialty batteries - I want to be able to pick up batteries from a drug store or gas station in a pinch.
I'm not worried about budget right now, I'd like to know all my options. I prefer the "normal" flashlight style (not a spotlight, angled light, or headlamp). Size isn't a big deal, but I don't want something gargantuan. I want lots of lumens - I want to light up the yard with spill - but again I'm mostly interested in a good amount of distance (e.g. for walking through the woods, etc). Decent runtime would be nice but I wouldn't expect a ton on the brightest mode.
The main option I'm aware of is the Fenix TK41... but before I buy it, I'm interested to compare it to others. So, CPF, what do you have for me? :)
