Hi, is there any AAA flashlight, which would have:
- long run time,
- med and moonlight mode
- regulated circuit
- compact size (keychain welcome, but not important)

I'm looking for a long-runner, high lumens are not important

I'm looking for something like Fenix E01, which is fantastic, but I'm missing moonlight mode, <1 lumen, which I find very useful and would have much longer run time..
Preon 0 looks great but med 25 lumens has short run time.. I wish it was 10 lumen..
Klarus Mi10 is quite close for what I'm looking for - but it does not support Lithium

could be more modes, not important this time.. Thrunite TI would work if it had longer runtime on second mode.. 60 lumen is too much, sacrificing longer runtime.. 10-20 lum with moonlight would be ideal..

Lithium primaries?.... it should be ok. 10440 not, but you don't care about max outputs, right? I have the Foursevens Preon Revo which was discontinued after David has said this design was outright stolen by Klarus for the Mi lights. Who knows who's right, but my money is with Foursevens.

Anyways, I've been looking for the same and this about as close as you can get with the 1.5 ish lumen low. With a Lithium primary ~ 80/10/2 hours for L/M/H runtimes (with user testimonials in the 4/7 sub forum)

I'm not impressed with the P0 though... it's moonlight tails off too quickly on Eneloops becoming too low to be useful, and further compound by being pure flood. And yes the next level is too bright with too short a runtime.... a similar problem with the Thrunite lights.

However, do tend to EDC a spare AAA that can be used in either my Revo back-up, or primary Quark AAX.... so I might as well have a third light for my spare battery case. ;-)

I tried to get ReVo but it's out of stock everywhere. But as you said, Klarus seems to be the way to go.. especially with those runtimes on Li. I can't find any better alternative

i did the streamlight/fenix retro fit and i couldn't be happier! cost me about $60 but was worth it i carry it every day and use it every day. very impressed with it.

One other option that I have forgotten about is the Peak Eiger QTC. Infinitely variable without the magnetic ring electrical overhead... it should have great runtimes and through sub-lumen levels. Takes Li-ions too.

Only issue is that I understand the QTC is a wear item that needs replacing.... need to figure out interval and source though.

Eiger seems to be way out of my budget, it's quite expensive.. planning to spend 40 usd at max :sssh:

Okay, got my Klarus Mi10 XP-E2 and it's perfect, the beam is close to neutral, I love it!

Nine Years Late to the party, however . . . . . . .

My Prometheus Beta (1xAAA) in Brass
is a treasured little EDC gem !

Low is about 2/3rds of a Lumen
Medium is about 16 Lumens

Both settings are PERFECT for my needs !

Beautiful 4000°K Nichia 219C high-CRI emitter

I absolutely LOVE mine !
