? about AAA NiMh vs Alks

I'm using 6 AAAs in a 2C Mag with a 5 cell krypton. This setup is alot brighter with NiMh compared to new Alks. I'm using some old 650 NiMh Energizers(Not hot of the charger). The Alks read 1.52 and the NiMhs read 1.3ish. So here is my question, Are NiMhs capable of supplying higher cuurents then Alks?

Take a look at how badly alkaline AAAs sag under 0.5A and 1A loads. At 1A they fall under 1.2v in 2 minutes. A 5 cell krypton bulb designed for D cells usually draws ~0.85A.
