:sssh: Anybody one of you recently bought or are currently using AA size AccuEvolution (LSD) NiMh cells. I'm wondering on how they compare to the AA size Eneloops. I'm currently using the D size in my portable radio and am very happy with their performance.

I have bought some. Id say about identical in actual use. When you can find them on sale they frequently run 1.25-2 bucks a cell which is very decent for LSD AA cells, I RARELY find Eneloops for less than about 2.25 a cell, and I really HATE paying that for cells that will be dead in 2 years (200 recharges say, and I recharge ALOT! Its a work thing). I do miss the good old days of LSD cells when there were always some on sale somewhere for 1-1.25 a cell (Ahhh, the good old days of Rayovac never knowing what this weeks name would be for their LSD cells, and each rename prompted a price crash on the previous 2 names! Sigh...).

As for the ACCU cells, I dont have any complaints. Seem far better than many previous LSD cells (Titaniums, Everready) that were crap after 50 recharges or never held their advertised duration. Cheaper would be nice, but I dont buy ENELOOPs anymore because they havent improved with age, ad the price has risen, not decreased.
The other cell Id recommend is the TURNIGY AA LSD, it really impressed me for under 1.5 bucks a cell, 15 minutes OVER advertised rating to expected 1/2 power drainout tyme. HOWEVER that batch was bought with a friend ordering plane parts from Hobby King so the shipping for me was covered making it practical. The shipping money they get for 4 cells pushes them over 2.5 bucks a cell easy unless you are buying other stuff at the same tyme. Alas. At that price, they are no better than competitors.

I bought a pack of 4 2200 ma and did a break-in and they came in around 1890 avg. I have cycled, refreshed, charged-discharged and the highest one hit 2010 with a c-9000. i just discharged them and re-charged them on my new 401fs which uses a neg flex pulse that is supposed to eliminate the need for conditioning. I did a discharge (they all discharged at over 2100 which they never did before) and am now charging them (on the 9000) to see if this neg flex procedure helped them. If they had called them 2000 ma I would call them pretty stout as they work pretty good. I will know in a little bit if this 401fs helped them or not.
