Hi everybody,

I have the chance to get one of the following 12V Dorcy spotlights:

Model: 41-1052
CP: 700,000
12V Halogen Spotlight
Bulb: H3-12V55W

Model: 41-1058
CP: 1,500,000
12V Halogen Spotlight
Bulb: H1-12V100W

They are intended to use as night hunting spotlight. I couldn`t find more info about them on the web. Thanks for all.

PS: You can see picts here:

It`s a spanish page but an image worth 1,000 words! They are the 3rd and 1st links.

I'm assuming that the large one is 1.5million: Anyway I had a large one of thet design once and the handle and reflector broke on me. The small one seems to be of a more sturdier design, and I have one like it now. the real question is how blinded do you want to be by it. 700000 is plenty bright for objects that you want to see. You could illuminate almost a longer distance than you could see clearly in the dark. Now if youi wanted it stationary as you walk around, or wanted to get the attention of someone a couple of miles away, than get the 1.5, but otherwise i'd go for the 700000. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

The spotlight will be used as a night hunting light so I need a very very bright beam of 5 yards wide at 100 yds.

Q: What if I take the smaller (700,000) and then replace the stock bulb (H3-12V55W) for another bigger (H3-12V75W or 100W)? Maybe I will get a tighter/brighter beam than the 1,5Million SpotLight.
