AKOray K-106 Help

I bought an AKOray K-106 awhile ago and considered it DOA because of flickering, mode skipping and the inability to retain mode memory. I have since figured out how to disassemble the light and can get it to work in all modes, but it still won't retain the last mode. For example, if I turn it off in high it will come on in medium the next time. If I turn it off in medium it will come on in low the next time. Does anyone have a possible fix for me? Thanks.

Play around with it some. Sometimes it has to be off for a certain amount of time for it to remember the last mode (it can be several minutes on some lights). Or it has to be on for some amount of time.

I bet you bought the non-programmable 5-mode right?

But what brted said is correct, wait longer! If that doesn't help get a new one!

It is the non-programmable 5-mode. Mode memory isn't a very useful feature if you have to wait 5 minutes for it to work. This light is junky, but it is nice to have something that I can learn from and disassemble and tinker with.

Who on earth has to wait several minutes for a tool to work?,something **** with it.
