Alaskan CPFrs?

I delivered the concrete for the Parks Hiway project all the way from Trunk Road up almost to Seward Meridian, its all 4 lane divided highway now and a new overpass at Hyer Rd. Supposedly the next phase is this year extending the hiway all the way up to the Palmer-Wasilla Hiway.
Also is a huge overpass project at the Glen and Parks in progress but another concrete company has that bid.
When the Trunk Rd. overpass went in a couple of years ago at the end of the day I was last in line with 7 yards of class A concrete and the foreman had made a mistake in the order, they had enough. it was 8 o'clock PM so my boss let me have the concrete which I took home and made a carport pad with it, the state already paid for it and it had to be gotten off the truck before it set up, thats over $900 worth of high strength concrete for free to me!

sorry for the delay in answering. as for what i do around tok, i work for the feds. as to ringing the bell, i think we talked inre alaska and amateur radio. i expressed the view i thought hf radio was the most reliable because of the relatively short range of vhf/2 meter band and relatively few repeaters in the bush

i'll make sure i give you a heads up here on cpf when i get back up there in late spring

My mom works in Wasilla, and she doesn't even bother to get on the 4-lane - she takes the frontage road instead, since there's no traffic there.

The Parks-Glenn overpass will be a welcome change - IMO, they should have done that before Hyer road et al, but hey, what do I know? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif

It'll be nice once everything gets to 4 lanes all the way to Parks/Palmer-Wasilla. Will it just be a light there? Do you know if they're planning on nixing the light at Parks/Seward Meridian?

So far phase 2 hasn't started yet, nobody is doing anything right now even with the warm weather, maybe another month we will know. I am assuming the light at PW Hiway will remain.
