Amber HD in a KL1?

Can an amber lambertian (high dome) luxeon star be transplanted into a KL1? I know they run at a lower vf than the whites.

As to why I would want to, I am getting away from the white luxeons since my eyes appear to be sensitive to the blue light coming out of the white KL1s'. Amber apparently is the closest color to a high-pressure sodium light. I may try it if it can work.

The KL1's are constant current regulated buck/boost so I think Vf should not be a problem.
