I know that some amber HD Arc LS' were made, but all colors have been discontinued. Would it be possible to mod a current Arc SLS with an amber HD? How would you go about it?

My initial thought is the Arc's circuitry would get the led too hot, and light output would suffer.

I know the slug has to be electrically isolated.

Thanks in advance. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

It's none of my business, but I'm just curious: why mod to amber? I'm a big fan of amber for certain applications, but for general purpose it will appear much dimmer.

Unfortunately white luxeons bother my eyes, but ambers don't. I have tried to get used to the Arc SLS as is. I know Arc's sorting process is pretty stringent and I thought that might make some difference.

Guess I'd better stock up on MN01 bulbs and use them in my E2e w/ 1x123 and dummy battery, that combo doesn't bother my eyes and has more throw than the Arc. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif
