AMC 8X7135 driver question

Happy new year everyone! I need to put two of these driver boards together so they put out 6000 mA to drive a 4 up XP-G2 board wired in parallel, powered by a single 26650 in a fivemega host. I have read some good threads on connecting the respective pins of AMC 7135 chips on different boards. My question is, can the controller chip on the slave board be disabled without actually removing it? Will any connections need to be bridged? If I connect batt pos and batt neg from the controlling board to their counterparts on the slave board as well as the AMC 7135 connections, can I then just connect LED pos and neg from the slave to the LED pos and neg connections? Thanks for the input from all the circuit heads out there!
 
Take it from another forum, I am not sure if this is the right responce, I will look for some more info;

Shorting led- pad to gnd ring gives direct drive(bypasses 7135’s) shorting led+ pad to input pin of 7135 gives 1-mode current controlled(bypasses micro controller).

I would just piggyback solder more 7135's on the controller board but I don't have any handy and I really don't want to cannibalize perfectly good boards.

This is the best option, try to practice first... I have do to the same for my triple xp-g...

I've done it enough to be fairly good at it. The board wil just have to be adequately heatsinked. ;) Just thought I would try something different. I've connected an 8X 7135 board with

a 4X 7135 board (Single mode board) before for a triple XP-G. This quad is going to need more cow bell! The only spare 4X 7135 board I have laying around is a multi-mode one. Oh

well, I'll figure something out.

If you knock off the diode on the slave board (quick back and forth with the soldering should do it), then you have effectively removed the power to the unneeded micro. Whether there is any sort of back feed weirdness happening between the micro's pwm pin and the Vdd from the AMC7135's..... I don't know. Alternately, you can nip SOIC micro pins with small side cutter pliers for quick extraction,.
 
take a look at yuor 8x7135 board.
it will look like this

and bridge pins 1&3 (start counting clockwise from upper left corner)

or like this

and you either do it as the pics shows, or you just bridge pins 1&3 again

If yuo ahve not purchased the drivers yet, search around (Kaidomain, cnqualitygoods, intl-outdoor). Some sell single mode version of the drivers

My driver is a little different but your method should work out just fine once I remove it and bridge the connections. Good idea KosPap.

you do not even have to remove the chip!
What the chip does is signal the 7135 Mosfet to open and close (effecting PWM modes)

So you can either send + current from wherever it is available on the board or the + power pin of the microcontroller when yuo located it
 
Oops! I already removed it so I could get a better look at the tracings beneath the chip. Do I now have to bridge connections or will the 7135's do their job without it?
