I wasn't a member when you guys had them ordered and was wondering if there was going to be another run or was it a one time deal?

Anyone else missed out that might be interested?

The Arc-SE that is in my pocket is dated 2002. Methinks that there is a few more months to go yet. I believe it was a one time deal at that time
Peter also stated that special orders now have a 250 minimum run but I don't think that would be a problem. I would like to see a 2003 edition.

We may....

Because you da man Peter, I can live with the specs you stated and will be proud to own one. The no custom engraving is a good thing as it will allow for more buy/sell/trade and still identify the light as a special edition.
That being said I most respectively ask "What the heck is Reddish Black"?
Humbly yours, Dana

Or what about a special edition with no finish. As in, like one of these Pic courtesy of JohnG:

Of course, we wouldn't need the barell!!!

Odd that you mention that Arab. I ordered a black Arc-AAA with the intention of stripping off the anodize.

Peter, I know you don't manufacture the LED's, but for me to buy another one (either CPF edition or "LE"), I would need for it to be brighter even if just slightly, as long as it is noticable).

I was actually hoping that you would come out with a "LE" version every 6 to 18 months that offered increased brightness over the previous version.

For example, I have both the CPF edition, and a 3.1 LE. I was suprised and glad that the 3.1 LE was brighter than the CPF edition.

How about that Stainless Steel or Polished or brushed Aluminum version?

I know!
How about a special CPF Edition from Arc to show gratitude for the loyal support and patronage of CPF members?
How about a special discount price for said members?

How about cost plus 2 cents?

The 2 cents to signify two years of CPF, two years of Arc, the second CPF Edition light, and all the "2 cents" contributed by us in this forum during the developement of the Arc lights!

What a wonderful idea!...........

(worth a try, guys)

Redish black Arc AAA with no special engraving, $40...I like it. Lets do it, seeing as it won't be avelable until 2003 I'll start putting a little moneys away so be sure I can order one

If Peter did a yearly special release, he could eventually get around to a super-bright 5 minute runtime version or a No/Clear finish but right now the man's busy, (LS2 and 3 et. all) and, uhh, he's the boss
