Another newbie question

I have been doing a lot of reading on this board about modding a mag. I tried to buy one, but it didn't work out. Short story is both my brothers and my dad have ultrastingers and I get to hear about them all the time. I want to build a rechargeable light that will put the ultrastinger to shame. I've read a lot about the 85 and the 61 and both look very impressive. As far as the build and the availability of parts, which one would be better for a beginner. I would like to get 40+ minutes of run time, if it is possible. Thanks for any insight.

Go over to the Incandescent Flashlights forum. They are a wealth of the specific info you will need. Everyone is using the 5561 bulb now, so I won't tell you the M@g85 is dead, but the newer bulb works really well.

Just tell them what you are trying to beat and they will put you in the right direction.
