Hey people who know stuff about flashlights, I need help.

Basically what I need is a flashlight that is small (less in length than 5 inches preferably), has a very bright 'high' setting (400 lumens would be nice, more even better, but no less than 350), batteries aren't so important, but AA would be great if at all possible. A 'strike bevel/bezel' thing would maybe be nice but again, not a nessecity. Basically I need a defensive flashlight.

All help appreciated,
Thanks!

Have a surf around and you will find something nice, here you will get the members favorites and you will end up with loads to choose from. All the main makers have something to suit you.

The Fenix LD41 is somewhat bigger then you asked for but as far as the other requests it certainly would do the trick. Its bright- Max is 520 lumens and has multiple modes. It is a flat body, so its easy to hold and the bezel is not something I would want to have struck against my head if you know what I mean. There are loads of reviews you can look at on this great light

Are you happy with your LD41?

Yes i like it a lot. I don't use it as a EDC because its a little to big for my tastes. I think it is great when carried in the holster it comes with. I just prefer a pocket EDC. I use it around the house and outdoors in the yard. Its a really good light with an unusual design (being flat) I will say again that i think if you got wacked on the back of the head with that medium sized crenelated (40mm) bezel it would hurt like a MF. But as far an EDC I prefer a smaller, albeit less powerful light that I can hold easily in my mouth in case i need two hands to do a task. Otherwise I do like it a lot. I'm no expert just an average user. X4CTO has a great review on youtube about the light which basically convinced me that i need to have it.

Thanks I am tempted to buy one myself.
