Ansmann Max E Plus 2500 mAh

I just happened to browse Ansmann's web site and I noticed it has new Max E Plus AA's (low discharge) but now in 2500 mAh capacity! How come Eneloop didn't think of this first? Ansmann batteries are expensive here in the Philippines until the distributors notice that their products are not moving and then they go on sale.

I've just ordered 3 packs of 4 from http://www.horizonbattery.com/detail.aspx?ID=175 which were the cheapest with widest choice of international shipping that I could find. Will update later on how it goes.

I also earlier bought the excellent Ansmann ZeroWatt charger which comes with 4 of those batteries from http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/B002PEUGY4/ref=pd_luc_mri?_encoding=UTF8&m=AOC3G2PBG3IY7 even though it's stated that this item can only be shipped within Germany. You could try your luck with the 3 or 4 other stores on Amazon.de that also carry it at a slightly lower price of around 32 Euro (before shipping). This charger can revive & fully charge even my really old 1600mAH NiMH cells and totally cuts off the power (zero standby power consumption) one hour after all the cells are fully charged. :thumbsup:
