Are there any D2S throwers out there? I'd like to find something that uses D2S bulbs, has quite a bit of throw and looks like a typical flashlight.

I have an amazing thrower. Its does not use a D2S bulb It's not even a typical looking flash light but it is a hell of a thrower.

This is a good question, because name brand D2S are easy to come by, but "H4" based HID capsules vary widely in quality. I actually have a couple of used D2S sitting around in a box I need to get rid of. Your best bet may be to create a custom adapter to fit the D2S bulb to a pre-made light that puts the arc right in the focal point of the reflector.
