A few years back Maglite introduced the XL100 and XL200 models with some clever motion control tech. I believe Nitecore also had some funky little lights with motion detection to auto dim or brighten depending on how you held them.

There was also torches like the Imalent) with a touch screen to control output.

Looking about I don't see much like this. The XL200 is still listed, but does anyone else offer any slightly out of the ordinary?

Led Lenser has some new headlamps with some kind of technology in them.

Unilite has a work light that works with an assortment of different powertool batteries. That is more than dual fuel.

Fliklite has a neat way to turn on a diving light but that is about 20 years old tech.

Peak has a light that gets brighter or dimmer depending on how you turn the head.
The Chinese light firms have LEPs sending light very long distances.

Spend your money with big flashlight companies and they will put more into R&D such as Surefire did back in the late 90s and early 00s.
