I have been trying to find the differences between some of the Romison lights, but am not coming up with much.

I'm mainly talking about the ones on shiningbeam. Anybody know the output/runtime differences between them? Say, RC-2R4 II R5, RC-N3 CREE R4, RC-F4 CREE Q5.

The RC-G2 is around 120 lumens at 1 hour runtime. Why not email Bryan? He can give you the info you need. He replies within an hour most of the time. Romison is one of the better budget lights out there IMO.

Have a look on youtube, plenty of video clips and explanations on there, you then will have all the information you require to make the purchase of your choice,if I remember correctly it is shingingbeam who are putting up the video clips but you will need to check it is ages since I looked at them.

I have the RC-N3 Q5 & the RC-2R4 II R5 and the main difference is throw if you want a light for lighting up a large area within 100 ft then the R5 is the way to go.

I think the R2 and Q5 lights are still better for outdoor use just for the throw. As for the runtimes they are going to be real close to the same because your getting more light for the same amount of battery drain.

I don't think any of the Romisen lights are going to be great past 100 ft but the RC-F4 might be with a Q5 or R2. I don't have that one so I'm not sure.

Bottom line is you can't go wrong with any of them just pick one for your needs. Size, Output, Runtime, Battery type, or Throw. Thats my two cents anyway. Good luck

I have a Romisen RC-U4 which will use either one 18650 or three AAA cells.

The LED unit is fixed , so I can't put another dropin into it ... There may be other Romisens that also don't accept dropins ... It was my mistake ... I should have checked first that it would accept a dropin.

If I had known this , I would have bought a Solarforce L2 instead ... It would have been cheaper too.

We learn from our mistakes.

Thx guys. I'll check out youtube. I'm just trying to find specs on each one I guess. For some reason that info on those lights isn't as readily available as other lights.
