Any Kroll switch replacement plugs?

I was just wondering. Do any of the metalworking experts out there know a way (for someone with no metalworking skills, machinery, etc) to make a simple screw in plug to replace the Kroll switch on my Arc 2AA LS tail? I'm tired of tweaking the switch (yes I read the DIY Kroll posts and tried - alas no handy skills and/or luck) and am thinking some simple plug to cover the hole would allow me to make my tail into a twisty tail.

I was imagining cutting off a 45-70 cartridge case to maybe 1/2 inch and having it threaded to match the Kroll (anyone know the Kroll switch thread?) or something. I may try to get one of the twisty tails now on eBay, but I'd hate to waste the one I have.

Any ideas or help appreciated. Thanks.

from the top of my head I think Kroll tap size is 5/8-28, other members might want to confirm in case I'm wrong.

5/8-28 is right. Maybe you could use a minimag tail for a plug. It would be easier than trying to thread a cartride esp since I don't think the walls of the cartride are thick enough for the thread depth.

Check with some fastener suppliers. See if you can get a 5/8-28 (I also confirm this is correct. I have installed several Krolls in flashlights and that is the tap I use) x maybe 1/2 slotted set screw. If you can't find a proper screw the minimag tailcap will work.

You could file it down to fit flush. If you don't like the bare aluminum look you could coat it with something like this
