I think I bought this about 4 or 5 years ago, and also gave one to my neighbor as a gift, the LED beam is like a moon, and not very bright. It has probably been plugged in for most of the time since I had it, with little use. It also has a dimmer night light. I opened the battery compartment and it has a 1300 AAA NiMH battery. I have a couple questions:
Has anyone upgraded the battery, and would it be safe to put say an eneloop in it? It appears to be soldered in the battery case. WOuld I still be able to leave it plugged in constantly? Worse case I could just slap an Eneloop in it and recharge it separately.
I was surprised at Lowe's they sell the light, but it's much smaller, and I believe it had a Nichia LED. Will this be a lot brighter than the old one, not sure what bulb the old one has in it.
Edit: This has the following info on the light I have: AC120V 60Hz 117mA LED DC3.6V 0.03A Made in China 3H96
