If you are referring to Bright Star - Koehler lighting products......I have used them and currently have a 3C Responder (Safety rated) in my stable. It is very bright and very durable. They make a fairly wide variety of interesting products. I have never heard them referred to with "Technology" on the end though.

They seem ok to me... Haven't had to call on their aftersales service so far though (fortunately). When I was organising a GB for the Brightstar 24w HID, they were quite responsive and helpful with inquiries. Later Emilion took over and everything went quite smoothly.

The product itself is solidly built and bright. Seems to be working fine so far, although my runtime on it is probably only 2-3 hrs.

What are you intending?

Well, it just seems like there's a bit of controversy about hid products from China and other countries on this forum. I was just curious to get any input on this company. Thanks for the info.

By the way, could guesstimate the lumen output? I was wondering if it was close to the manufacturer's specifications. How long have you had the light?

around 1300 lumens based on a DIY litebox which is similar to Flashlightreviews.com setup.

I've had it for a couple of years already, but only used it for 2-3 hrs as mentioned. It has only been thru one battery charge. So I can't say much for its reliability or longevity

So far its been good though. Startup time is decent and within about 7-8s, most of the brightness is already there, give and take some flickering, especially if unused for a long time.
