As title really.Seemed to be a big fuss then zip......
Available now? Soon? Any idea of the price yet?
This seems to be the only thing to replace my tired Wave.
Thanks,Phil /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Whats so funny? Have you seen the pics and feature set of the new ti Leathermen? For some people (like me) it will be worth every penny. Others are perfectly happy with the $5 cheapo multi-plier tools. I'm not one of them.

I too am pawing at the ground over the new Ti. It was supposed to be available in June. Obviously, they have screwed up MAJOR by not having them available for Father's Day.

*sigh*

When? When? When?

Never officially scheduled for a June release date. They are supposed to ship by the end of July, or early August!

And not $70!!! The list price is going to be about $125, with internet prices hovering under $100. Titanium and 154CM costs more than stainless steel. The Wave will be updated and go down a bit in price.

You can preorder from several dealers. For more info, look at Leatherman's site (the dealer intranet pages have high-resolution pics), the advance info/pics from SHOT at Equipped to Survive, and the multitool forum at Bladeforums.

I'd buy two for $70.

Either way, that's a lot of leatherman to have airport security confiscate-I'm too dumb to always remember to remove it.

I bought my 2 Squirts and Wave at Costco. I'm hoping they'll carry the Ti model. BTW, Leatherman without a doubt has one of the coolest and best websites out there. They should win an award! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/clap.gif

What does the titanium handles bring to the table, other than neato-it's-titanium ?
Doesn't seem to be lighter, at first glance, weighing in at 8.4 oz. That's nearly as much as a Super Tool, at 9 oz.

My Pulse is 6 oz, the Wave is 8 oz.

Any functional differences that make it better?

I talked to the guy behind the counter at a local flashlight and knife store, and he showed me a copy of the order he had placed with Leatherman for the new Ti Leathermen. He said they will have them sometime in August, along with the entire new lineup, quite a few new or redesigned models. He said places like WalMart will eventually get them, but not right away.
