I might be too late, but FWIW... You did just about everything correct except bridge V+out over to C1... here....

See DX discussion "Board Fix information". Theres also some discussion on it here on CPF. My understanding is the older white boards did not have this problem, only the current blue colored ones.


its easiest to just use the V+out wire and extend it through the PCB and over to the C1 point.

Its not very well documented on the DX site, you have to read through the discussion forums. I recently bought 3 of these 7882 boards for use with Crees and 18650 cells and all 3 work GREAT, I didn't even attempt to use them without the bridge. Its a great driver, 1.3-1.4 amps at the twist of a pot.

Your job is not completely un-fixable, you might not even need to un-mount the board from the pill.
