It's no surprise when you complete the circuit between two antennas receiving separate signals that you'd lose reception.

No argument there, but what gets me is his attitude. A better response would be "Yes we are aware of this problem and there will be a recall to fix the issue". But instead he says "avoid holding it that way". To me that means deal with it. If you buy a computer from ASUS and there is a problem with their WIFI would you be ok if they gave you the same response?

I always did wonder why people that are happy with what they have, and don't care for something else that has no effect on them choose to b*tch so much about it.

Yes the iPhone has a cost, yes it is a phone, yes it does stuff. You don't like it, don't get it and live your life with what you have. But why attack a perfectly likable (I have a 3GS I love it, I'll only own iPhones until someone can beat the software for my personal preferences).

Hope you are enjoying trying to take a sh*t on a hugely popular company who has earned what they have, and is doing nothing to make your life any different than you want it.

I work in an office that uses both platforms and our macs NEVER loose info or have issues. All of our PCs have had major crashes at one point or another.

Try updating from Win98 - it helps.

I haven't seen a BSOD on a PC less than 5years old in a long, long time, and I work with tens of thousands of PCs. So, whatever it is you Mac users are doing, the problem clearly exists between keyboard and chair..... like it always has. Maybe we need another Mac -vs- PC commercial so I can ask the Mac dude "I thought Intel sucked? - how's your G5 working there buddy?"

All of the big corporate clients I've done contract work for have media departments that are at least 50/50 Mac / Windows, and the Apples take up significantly more 3rd party support in every company. Enough where they are typically forced under their own budget because IT gets sick of paying the bill.

They also also have significantly more upgrade headaches when it comes to software if you actually use something that didn't come from Aple Corp. New Apple OS's are also an effing total nightmare when you update to a new OS in regards to supporting 3rd party software and drivers. I've actually gone into companies that are still using NT4 as a print server because it's less of a hassle that dealing with OSX updates causing conflicts because Apple doesn't care. Doesn't say much...

We can rant about how Vista was a POS, but at least Vista supported the latest version of Phososhop. As the rift continues to get bigger between Apple and Adobe, it's only going to get worse. Anything else?

As for the iPhone, I don't own one, but still have a lot of respect for the product. As a touchscreen interface, it does work very, very well.

What's interesting is while the iPhone generated a lot of initial hype, my younger friends who I would call 'hip' and state of the art have all migrated back to phones with regular keypads. They just aren't into touch-screens and want more flexible phone contracts.

I have an iPhone 4 and love it. The dropped calls get annoying, but everything else that the phone does is great, and a huge step forward for the original iPhone.

Regarding the BSOD, my laptop on 64 bit Win7 has it about once a month, and in the window that pops up regarding issues, it says it has something to do with the nVidia graphics drivers, even though they are updated. Anyone know whats going on?

Thats funny, youband I are in very different circles...it's the opposite around here.

As far as differing OS goes, I actually have respect for both, but we only employ an IT department excusively for the PCs because all us Mac guys can service our own comps. We don't touch the PCs and what you said is exactly what our IT guy said when we hired him...still many issues though. Anyway, Ive been in the industry for more than a decade now and Macs just do what I
need done way better-in fact I've worked with many major firms and it's the
same there.

Either way, it's about getting the job done the way you see fit with the tools you like using. I like Macs, you like Pcs so who cares cause I sure don't. I do however enjoy the discourse!
